Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about Budd Shirtmakers' bespoke and ready-to-wear collections.
What is the difference between your bespoke and made-to-measure shirts?
Bespoke shirts involve a unique paper pattern hand-cut specifically for your body and require multiple fittings, whereas made-to-measure utilizes a pre-existing block pattern that is adjusted to your specific measurements.
How long does it take for my order to be dispatched?
Ready-to-wear items are typically dispatched within 1-2 business days. For bespoke orders, the lead time is generally 8-12 weeks, depending on the complexity and fabric availability.
Do you offer international shipping?
Yes, we ship worldwide via secure courier services. Shipping costs and delivery times vary by destination and are calculated at checkout. Please note that international orders may be subject to local customs duties.
What is your return policy for online purchases?
We offer a 28-day return window for all ready-to-wear items, provided they are in original, unworn condition with tags attached. Please note that bespoke and monogrammed items are non-returnable.
How should I care for my Budd cotton shirts?
To ensure longevity, we recommend washing your shirts at 30-40 degrees Celsius. Avoid tumble drying; instead, hang the shirt to air dry and iron while slightly damp for the best finish.
Can I visit your shop for a traditional fitting?
Absolutely. We welcome customers to our historic shop in Piccadilly Arcade, London. While walk-ins are welcome for ready-to-wear, we recommend booking an appointment for bespoke consultations.
